Think of PDO Threadlift as a non-surgical facelift using an absorbable suture made of
Polydioxanone (PDO). PDO suture has been used in procedures for many years, such as open-
heart surgery, ensuring it is very safe to introduce to the body.

A PDO thread lift is designed to subtly lift the facial features to reduce fine lines, deepening
facial folds, wrinkles, and sagging skin while encouraging collagen production for more

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for PDO Threadlift treatment at Naya
Aesthetics & Day Spa?

The most important part of preparing for the PDO Threadlift treatment is to stop taking any
medications and supplements that thin the blood as these may cause bruising and prolong

Some of these include: NSAIDS nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Motrin, Advil, Alive, etc)
Vitamin E, Aspirin, Fish oils, Omega 3’s, Ginko, Ginseng, Garlic for 7 days. Alcohol should be
avoided x 3 days prior to procedure.

If you are on prescription medication to thin your blood, do not stop taking your
medication unless okayed to do so by the prescribing physician.
Other than that, there is no preparation for the PDO Threadlift.


What should we expect during the PDO Threadlift treatment?

We use Nova threads and Mint threads at Naya Aesthetics & Day Spa, the latest most
advanced form of PDO threads on the market. Before treatment starts, we will apply a topical
numbing agent and local anesthetic to the treatment site. Then your licensed and trained
provider makes a small opening through which needles with threads are inserted. The needle
is then removed, and the thread is left suspended in place to lift the skin. You will receive

When the threads are inserted, they cause the body to produce inflammation, which then
signals the body to boost collagen production. This is how the targeted areas increase facial
volume as well as volume on other parts of the body.


When will I see the results from my PDO Threadlift?

Results are immediately noticeable to you and will continue to increase over the next few
months as the body fully absorbs the threads. These results typically last between six months
and one year.

How long does it take to perform the PDO Threadlift treatment?

Depending on the area being treated, it typically takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete
the treatment. Some patients even get the treatment done at their lunch break making this
their “Lunchtime Facelift!


What to expect after a PDO Threadlift treatment?

There is little to no downtime with PDO Threadlift treatments. Recovery all depends on which
areas are being treated. Most patients return to work immediately following their treatments
while others may want to stay at home for a few days.

Bruising and swelling are common side effects of the procedure, as well as soreness in the
areas treated for a couple of weeks post-procedure. You may want to sleep with your head
raised the first couple of nights to reduce swelling. And sleeping on your back for the first week
or so maybe more comfortable post-procedure and ensures you don’t put too much pressure
on one side of your face.

Holding your mouth open for an excessive period of time can affect the results of your
treatment. As such, you should hold off on any dental treatments for the first two weeks after
your PDO thread lift.
